By providing a compact and controlled environment for fundamental questions about human reasoning, chess has attracted the development of several academic works in different areas of scientific knowledge over the last decades.
The purpose of this project is to understand the process of acquisition, interpretation and recognition of cognitive signals in chess games in order to understand how different aspects of human cognition interact with each other to perform this complex mental task.
The aim is to acquire and interpret the eye movements and electroencephalography signals of chess players with different levels of experience in order to recognize possible visual cognitive patterns and brain mapping during specific moves in a game.
